Wayfinder · event wayfinding
Event wayfinding, with no app to download
Attendees scan a code on the wall and see where they are, where their booth is, and the way between. It works in the browser they already have.
How attendees find their way
- Scan a Here Code. Posters at entrances and corners open the map, already showing where you stand.
- Search for anything. A booth, a stage, food or a washroom, by name.
- Follow the blue line. Walking directions on real paths, with Follow me to keep the map with you.
Your location stays on your phone
Directions are worked out on the device. Boothmap.live never receives where an attendee is standing.
For organizers
Place the posters in Workbench, print them on any printer, and stick them up. Each code knows the spot it was printed for, so the map opens right at that spot. Mark entrances and closed paths, and the directions use them.
Questions
What is an event wayfinding app?
It shows people where they are at an event and how to walk to what they are looking for. Boothmap.live does it in the browser, so there is nothing to install.
Does it work indoors?
Here Codes give an exact starting point inside buildings, where phone location is weakest. Floor plans show each level.
What if the signal drops?
Once opened, the map keeps working offline, so a busy hall does not leave anyone lost.
Does Boothmap.live see where attendees walk?
No. Directions are worked out on the attendee’s phone, and their position is never sent to us. Organizers only see how many people asked for directions to a booth, never who or from where.
